What We Do

  

We provide Marine Chemist (Gas-Free Certification) services to the maritime, power generation, and petrochemical  industries in the North East United States including New York, New Jersey, and beyond, in compliance with NFPA 306 Standards.

Our staff of 4 NFPA Certified Marine Chemists have experience in gas free inspections and certifications. Our experience covers inspections on every type of marine vessel, as well shore side operations.

While we specialize in enclosed space entry & gas free certificates for the marine industry, we are also able to assist with testing, inspections, and general enclosed space entry in shore side settings as well.

Shipyard Competent Person Training

The requirements to perform the duties of an SCP can be found in 29 CFR  1915.7. The SCP must be able to understand the directions and  instructions left by the NFPA certified marine chemist; have knowledge  of the subparts of 29 CFR 1915; know the structure and location where  work is to be performed on vessels and within shipyard location; must  understand how to use testing equipment and how to accurately interpret  the results of required instrumentation as well as how to post results  and maintain records.
